As many of you know, we recently added a special new addition to our family. Her name is Maya Emery Garcia. She was born September 5, 2008. Maya weighed 6 pounds 14.8 ounces. She was 19.5 inches long. Maya was born by c-section at Mountain West Medical Center in Tooele, UT. A few hours after she was born however, she was diagnosed with pneumonia and a heart defect. She was transported by ambulance to Primary Childrens Medical Center by ambulance. Talk about the worst pain in the world, having someone take your child from you!!! Especially when they can not tell you if everything will be alright!
Happily, after a week at Primary Childrens, Maya finally came home! She is completely healthy now. She has been such a wonderful blessing in our family!
